Question no 2430 : Non-Valuated Stocks in MM

In SAP MM ECC 6.0 as at EhP5, which of the the following stocks are never valuated ?

(more than one answers)

A)    Consignment stocks.
B)    GR-Blocked Stock.
C)    Stocks provision to Sub-Contractor.
D)    Material created with standard SAP material type 'UNBW'.
E)    Stock in Transit.

  1. A) Consignment stocks are always never valuated. However, when consignment stocks are transferred to own stock and liability is created, it becomes valuated stock.

  2. B) Using movement type 103 for GR to PO, it is receiced into Non-Valuated GR-Blocked Stock. However, as at ECC6.0 EhP5, a new movment type 107 is introduced for GR to PO into Valuated GR-Blocked Stock.

  3. C) When stocks are provided or transferred to the sub-contractor, there is a no accounting document and those stocks still belong to the company and there are Valuated stocks.

  4. D) Material type 'UNBW' is setup as 'with Qty update' but 'without Value update', it also does not have an Accounting view in the material master. Materials with such characteristics when received are managed by quanitty only and without value. The PO for such material must have account assignment so that the costs are charged to the account assignment object at the point of goods receipt.

  5. E) Transit stocks belong to the destination (ie the receiving storage location of receiving plant), transit stocks is still in the balance sheet account of the receiving plant and therefore is Valuated.
