Answer: D
ReplyDeleteStrategy allows PIR for planning. However, MRP run for the FG creating planned orders with order type "VP" which cannot be converted production orders. However, BOM explosion will occur at MRP run to plan and execute for the raw material procurement and sub-assembly preparation. When the Sales Order arrive for the FG, MRP run will convert the planned order type from "VP" to "KD", this will allow conversion of these make-to-order planned order to make-to-order production orders.
