Cost and Revenue Postings to SAP Controlling (CO) can be either True (Real) or Statistical or Both. Sometimes it is referred to as Actual Postings vs Statistical Postings. Basically Statistical Postings are information only. For example in an integrated posting from Logistics to FICO, the system maybe posting simultaneously to Profit Center and Cost Center; but only the Cost Center value posted is TRUE and the Profit Center value posted is STATISTICAL. This nature of posting is important as the VALUES presented in the module of FI and CO should be in-sync or Balanced.
