  1. Consignment Stocks are received into non-Valuated inventory which can be returned to the vendor. Liabilty is only created when the Consignment stocks are issued or transferred to own stock.

  2. Subcontracting stocks are always valuated whentransferred to the Subcontractor, the subcontracting stock at the vendor can be transferred back to us. You can perform physical inventory on it.

  3. Third Party scenario for MM is where we request the vendor to send the material directly to the customer. It is usually trigerred via special item category in the Sales Order which generates a third-party PR then PO. The information for the vendor to deliver the goods directly to the customer is registered in the purchasing document. When the vendor delivered to the customer, this information is completed via GR of the third-party PO; however the GR is not inventorized rather it allow Sales Order billing to proceed. Therefore, third-party scenario cannont see any inventorization anywhere in the process.

  4. STO may br processed using either 1-step or 2-step. In the 2-step process, step 1 will resuktmin the stock regostered at Stock in Transit at the receiving plant.

  5. Pipeline scenario assume the material always available through the physical pipeline system and therefore not inventorized.
