  1. In WM: Storage Type, Storage Section (minimum one), and Storage Bins are the usual Structuring Elements. Picking area is optional as only for Outbound process. Storage Bin Type is used to characterize the Storage Bin and usually meant to match SUT to the Bin Type.

It then becomes an argument whether answer should be A, B, C, D or just B, C, D.
That is solely depending on person writing the question and how deep your understanding of WM structuring.

If the question is to be re-word like below:
'which of the following are mandatory structuring elements of warehouse management',
then the answer probably best B, C, D (as Picking Area is optional and bin type search not activated then bin types are not required to define the Storage Bin).
If you make a detail argument about the word 'mandatory' then it will be minimum one storage section and a storage type (even the interim is not needed for case of direct fixed bin storage) Answer B, D (not even C)

    Conclusion:
Sometimes, knowing too much about a topic in SAP does not help in taking the exam. If this question is asked in in MM exam maybe different from a WM exam as the level of understanding or even person writing the exam question or expectations maybe different. Confusing, isn't it.
This is the kind of question that looks simple but quite confusing to answer it depending on who you are, what's your own knowledge in WM, which exam are you taking or who wrote the question and what was the expectation from the exam writer.

Final words, I retain my answer as A, B, C, D, E because the main words 'Structuring Elements' in the question and all of those listed are indeed possible although some optional and some require activation or business scenario dependent. Sometimes, maybe don't think too much when answering an SAP question.

  2. I would re-phrase the question like this:
'In SAP MM-IM with WM integration, which of the following are possible Structuring Elements of Warehouse Management ?
