A, B) You assign one or more Valuation Class to the Account Category Reference (ACR), the ACR can be assigned to the Material Type or Material Group. When you create the Material Master, you will then select a Valuation Class in the Accounting View, this will allow the system to determine the G/L account. However, the purpose of Material Group assignment of a Valuation Class is for situation to determine G/L account without Material Master (for example, non-stock Purchase Orders without material master).
ReplyDeleteC) There are no Valuation Classes nor ACR assigned to the Account Assignment Category (AAC). However, you can find a 'Modifier' assigne to the AAC. Example 'VBR' is assigned to AAC 'K' in the IDES system. The purpose of this assignment is for Consumption Account Determination for non-stock purchasing.
ReplyDeleteD) Item Cateogry do not play a role in account determination. Therefore, you cannot find any account determination related setting in its configuration.
ReplyDeleteE) For the Split Valuation Scenario, the Valuation Type is assigned with the Account Category Reference (ACR) but not directly with Valuation Classes.
