In SAP PP and PM, which of the following methods are used to default the 'Backflushing' indicator of a component/parts assigned to an operation of a Task List ?

A)    The Backflushing indicator in the 'Status Long Text' in the BOM item detail.
B)    The BOM usage indicators configuration and default to the Item Status in the 'Status Long Text' in the BOM item detail.
C)    The Material Master MRP2 view Backflushing indicator.
D)    The Work Center Backflushing indicator.
E)     The Routing/Task List Header backflushing control indicator.

  1. A, B) Neither the BOM header nor the BOM item details has any indicators that controls the backflushing decision of a component.

  2. C) The Material Master MRP2 view's Backflushing indicator either decides 'Always Backflush' or 'Dependent on Work Center'. If it is 'Always Backflush', then the component assignment to any Task List Operation will have a Backflush indicator. If it is 'Dependent on Work Center', then if the Work Center was indicated as Backflush in it's General Folder and this work center is assigned to the Task List Operation, the material will be backflush.

  3. D) The Work Center Master has a Backflushing indicator. However, its effective use to default the backflushing indicator for components assigned to the operation depends on the material's MRP2 view backflusing decision indicator..

  4. E) Routing/Task List header do not have any backflushing decision indicators.
