  1. Strategy 40 is the generic MTS (Make to Stock) strategy for PPDI and PPPI in the SAP ERP system. The delivered configuration of Strategy 40 in the standard SAP system considers the following:
. Un-restricted stocks (QI and Transfers stocks considerations are done separately)
. Planned Independent Requirement created via the Requirement type from Strategy 40.
. Sales Order created due to the Requirement Type from Strategy 40.
. All existing Planned Orders, Purchase Requisitions, and Purchase Order.
. This include Outstanding Delivery Schedules against Scheduling Agreements.
. All existing Outstanding Production Orders.

It is advised that the delivered configuration of Strategy 40 not to be fine tuned. If necessary copy it to a new strategy name and fine tune from there.
