Answer: D
ReplyDeleteChecking Group can be found in the Material Master MRP3 view at the Plant Level.
ReplyDeleteHowever, Checking Rule (the other parameter) is assigned to the Maintenance Order Type plus Planning Plant in the Customizing. And the control is available for both creation and release of the Maintenance Order. This parameter decides among others the decision for availability check result. (eg: ignore, error, user decide)
ReplyDeleteThe Checking Group PLUS the Checking Rule is then combined in a configuration to determine what should be included or excluded during the availability check. eg: should QI stock type be included or excluded during the AV check.
ReplyDeleteWhen you setup the Checking Group in the MRP3 view, you also need to fill up other data in the MRP1 and 2 views. However, if MRP is currently not relevant for the material, you can enter 'ND' (No Planning) as MRP type for the material and most fields will become option and you can proceed to filll up the desired Checking Group in the MRP 3 view.
