Question no 1584 : Validity Period (Key Date) in Plant Maintenance

In SAP PM ECC6.0, which of the following creations in SAP Plant Maintenance contain validity date (key date) ?

(more then one answers)

A)     Create Equipment in initial screen at IE01.
B)     Create Functional Location in initial screen at IL01.
C)     Create Work center in initial screen at IR01.
D)     Create General Task list in initial screen at IA05.
E)     Create a Material BOM in initial screen at CS01.

  1. Validate date is available when creating the Equipment Master but not the Functional Location (as at ECC6.0). (I personally cannot find an explanation why FL is SAP was not implemented with a validity period, this is especially true when sometimes we use FL to represent equipment systems and having validity dates would be a good thing to have)

Both General Task List and the Bills of Materials have validity period which are quite logical and you can use Engineering Change to manage the changes of data fields in these two master data objects.

And again Work Center Master creation has no validity periods but the Capacity header's Shift Sequence and Shift Data will have dates and working times in detail.
