"Our business is selling selected Notebooks with are configurable by the customers, we also provided configurable Notebook casings where the customer can select fabric type and name-plate embossing. The name-plate embossing have several options and sizes the customer can choose from. We sell both configurable notebooks separately and the configurable casings separately. In the coming year of 2015, we are also planning for selling both with different package options with discounts and add-on features if the customer buys in package of the notebook and casing together".

ReplyDeleteIn this scenario, it means that in the Sales Order you can process sales-relevant BOM items where there are configurable assemblies. You can then have constraints at the SET level to infer characteristics values between assemblies. Once you have completed configuration of all assemblies, the system brings you back to the Sales Order item screens. The BOM items selected (depending on Sales Relevancy settings in the BOM items) will then be displayed as subitems for the main item in the Sales Order. One standard feature is obviously to use the item category group to dictate the requirement transfers and pricing determination for the selected components.
