    The company SAP (Systems Analysis and Program Development) was launched in 1972 by the 5 founders - Hasso Plattner, Dietmar Hopp, Claus Wellenreuther, Klaus Tschira, and Hans-Werner Hektor. However, in 1976, the private corporation established in 1972 (Systems Analysis and Program Development) dissolved, and its rights are transferred to SAP GmbH, giving the company its current name(Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing).
