A)    Only the standard  SAP provided Order type PM04 can be used for the maintenance order creation of this scenario, no specific configuration is required. 
B)    An MM purchase info record with subcon category should be created for the subcon services charges.
C)    The material (equipment) will be transferred to the subcontractor and seen as special stock type "O".
D)    Transaction IW8W will be used to receive the completed refurbished material (equipment).
E)    Item Category "L" is registered in the Purchase Documents for this scenario.

  1. A) In fact, SAP recommends to use PM01 order type via t-code IW31 and not PM04 via IW81.

    B) The new feature of subcontracting the refurbishment scenario uses the purchasing info record's info category subcontracting for the services costs.

    C) It is like the MM subcontracting scenario and used the special stock type "O".

    D) This new process do not uses IW81 nor IW82, just used IW31, ME51N, ME21N and MIGO for processes.

    E) You will be able to find the use of item category "L" in the Purchasing Document for this scenario.
