In SAP S/4 1909, "Simplified Sourcing" simplification scenario introduced in S/4HANA 1511 and 1610. In this "Implication effort", the system takes the info record into consideration when creating purchase requisitions during the planning run in the. How this is setup ?

The Simplification logic for MRP source determination selecting an Info Record no longer requires a Source List. MRP selects purchasing info records if the “relevant for automatic sourcing“ indicator is set in the purchasing info record. Of course, if there are multiple Info Records for the same Material, then if only ONE of the Info Record is set with "Auto Sourcing" that MRP Live or PPDS will use it for Source Determination. The feature is reported to be available from S/4 HANA 1511, the "Simplified Sourcing" also means that for the Auto Sourcing to work:

NO Need for any setting in the Material Master
