Question no 1754 : Valuation at Plant Level

In SAP MM ECC6.0, when valuation is set at the plant level ?

(more than one answers)

(A)  You can valuate a material in different plants at different prices.
(B)  You should have an accounting view for the material at every plant that it requires quantity and value updating for those plants.
(C)  You are able to use production planning but not product cost accounting components.
(D)  You are able to use both production planning and product cost accounting components.
(E)  You can valuate a material in different plants at different prices but the price control must only "moving average price" or "standard price" for all the plants for the same material.

  1. A) Having set the Valuation level at Plant allows for the material in every plant to have an Accounting view, hence allowing same material at different plant to have a different valuation price.

  2. B) When both quantity and value update is required for a material in a plant, it must have an accounting view for the material in that plant as both the valuation class (used to determine the stocks account) and valuation price is kept at the accounting view at the plant level.

  3. C, D) One of the critical requirement for the decision of selecting valuation at Plant level is that CO-PCP (Product Cost Planning) are all done at the Plant level.

  4. E) When Valuation at Plant level is selected, SAP do not restrict the use of Price Control "S" (Standard) or "V" (MAP) for any Plant for the same material. It is the decision of the Accounting department to use which pricing control.
