    Creating a contract without plant is called a Central contract, and it is possible for both Qty or Value Contract.

    SAP MM Quantity Contact do not allow "W" (material group) item category.
    Different oipinions of why SAP make that design decision, I can make a businees explanation for supporting this design or not.
    At the end, one has to aceept this is Standard SAP delivery.
