ReplyDeleteStrategy 30 was delivered by SAP for exactly that purpose. Customer Sales Order will not consume the Planned Independent Requirements; therefore, MRP run will plan the quantity for production for the total of the Sales Orders PLUS the Planned Independent Requirements. Usually, a Periodic Lot Sizing Rule is used for thr Net Requirement determination. Warehouse Sales will be used to reduced the Planned Independent Requirements. This strategy is created as a Make to Stock strategy. While Selling/Delivering Stocks for Sales Orders for the Major Customers only reduces the stock quantity and does not reduce the Planned Independent Requirements. (this is due to the setup of the Requirement Types in Strategy 30)
