ReplyDeleteStrategy 10 is a variation of MTS (Make to Stock) Strategy from Strategy 40. Sometimes it is referred to a Stringent MTS strategy as it does not consider Requirements from Sales Order. Organizations which uses this strategy are usually Oligopoly or best characterized by "Selling from the Warehouse". This would simply mean that manufacturing's responsibility is to produce to stock regardless of the Sales. And the Sales Operations would have to sell whatever which has been produced. Of course, the Planned Independent Requirement has to be a collaborative effort between Sales and Production as well as Business Planning.
