Question no 2449 : Estimated Cost in Maintenance Orders

In SAP PM ECC6.0 Ehp5, which of the following are TRUE about Estimated Cost ?

A)    You cannot enter Estimated Cost in Historical Orders.
B)    You can enter Estimated Cost in Historical Orders provided the order type is configured to do so.
C)    You can enter Estimated Cost in Maintenance Order before the Order is released.
D)    You cannot enter Estimated Cost but you can change them in the Maintenance Order after the Order is released.
E)    You can set a tolerance percentage such that if the Planned Costs exceeds that tolerance, a message dialogue box will be presented to the user.

  1. A, B) It is never possible (as at ECC6.0 EhP5) that the Estimated Costs can be entered in Historical Orders. You can only enter 'Statistical Actual Costs' in the Historical Orders.

  2. C, D, E) The Estimated Costs can be entered but is only a reporting field as at ECC6.0 EhP5, there are no tolerance check between it against any other costs (Planned or Actual). You can only enter or change estimated costs before the Maintenance Order is released. The Estimated Costs will be presented as display fields only after the maintenance order is released.
