ReplyDeleteA) When you create a Logistics Plant, it automatically is a maintenance plant (no actually customizing required to define this behavior). In the simplest scenario like one single factor, both planning and execution are done within the same plant, in this case it is logical that the maintenance plant is also a maintenance planning plant. In other cases, planning maybe done centrally at a maintenance planning plant for technical objects located and processed in distributed maintenance plants.
ReplyDeleteB, C) In general sense in the following Enterprise Structure IMG - Enterprise Structure - Assignment - Plant Maintenance - Assign maintenance planning plant to maintenance plant, the assignment of maintenance planning plant to maintenance plant is OPTIONAL.

IMG - PM/CS - Maintenance and Service Processing - Maintenance and Service Orders - Functions and Settings for Order Types - Assign Order Types to Maintenance Plant. (the path description should be 'Assign Order Types to Maintenance Planning Plant and not Maintenance Plant). When you navigate to the details of the config, you can see PlPl (which is Maintenance Planning Plant)
