ReplyDeleteA) Valuation Category is optional and only needed if Split Valuation implementation for the material in that Plant is necessary.
ReplyDeleteB) Valuation Class is delivered as mandatory, it is required for G/L Account Determination.
ReplyDeleteC) Valuation Type is only needed if Split Valuation implementation for the material at that plant is setup; then the valuation type accounting views are necessary.
ReplyDeleteD) Price Control "S" or "V" can be defaulted from the Material Type Config. and it is mandatory by SAP delivery.
ReplyDeleteE) Even if Price Control "V" is entered, the MAP can be ZERO as the first goods receipt will update this field. It is a desirable entry as an estimate in the beginning when the material is created at that Plant but not necessary. However, if the MAP was ZERO and a user perform a goods receipt without purchase order, the valuation will be ZERO.
