A)   Inspection lot will be created and released without a sample size.
B)   Error at the goods movement as Inspection lot cannot be generated.
C)   Dialogue box at the goods movement transaction expecting user to input either the inspection plan or material sepcification.
D)   Dialogue box at hte goods movement prompting user to decide saving the goods movment without an inspection lot or abandon the transaction.
E).  Inspection is created likely with sampling procedure set in the inspection type detail in the material master, without inspection characteristics there is no need for results recording, only a usage decision is ncessesary to complete the step.

  1. It is possible that the inspection lot is created with the following settings in the Inspection type in the material master:
    . 'Inspection with material specifications' not checked.
    . 'Inspection with task list' not checked.
    . 'Inspection by configuration' not checked.
    . 'Automatic assignment' not checked.
    . 'Check characteristics' not checked.

    You can also not enter any sample size or procedure in this case as the Inspection Lot can be created without a sample size and any inspection plan or material specification. In fact the Inspection lot do not require any Results Recording and only Usage Decision. (this kind of setup desired if inspection details and recording are done external to the SAP system).
