  1. A) A Production BOM (for PPDI) must be created with the BOM Header Material at the beginning. It is not possible to assign this BOM to several Header Materials. In this case, we are not referring to BOM Technicial Type 'V' (Variant).

  2. B) A Production BOM (for PPDI) can initially be created without a Plant assignment/allocation. However, to use it for MRP run or Production Execution; you must allocate this BOM to the respective Plant in a separate step.

  3. C) The BOM Components allocations/assignment to any Routing Operation is always an optional step (from MRP run or Production Execution). The assignment will allow more accurate requirement date calculations for the components based on the scheduled operation dates.

  4. D, E) Once a BOM has been created, it is not possible to change/alter the BOM Header's validity periods either the From or To-Dates. ECM can only be use to influence the Component validity periods.
